KOKOMO, Ind.—The November/December 2003 issue of BizEd profiled the IU Kokomo School of Business as a small school that’s “Thinking Big”. BizEd is a publication of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB, which accredited the School of Business in 2001. Serving 350 undergraduates and nearly 100 graduate students, the school “is one of only a few programs of its size to earn AACSB accreditation at both undergraduate and graduate levels,” the article stated. It quoted Dean Niranjan Pati, Ph.D.: “Our faculty and staff really had to go beyond the call of duty to write the reports and put the processes in place to make [accreditation] happen” The article also highlighted the School of Business’ small classes, student achievements and community businesses and organizations. Being selected for the BizEd profile “is a significant milestone and honor” for the School of Business, Pati said. “BizEd spotlights very selected schools,” he said, noting that Columbia Business School was spotlighted in the previous issue.
