November 21, 2003

KOKOMO, Ind.—The public is invited to Parent Resource Night, or “Everything You Need to Know, But Don’t Know How to Find,” on Tuesday, December 2, at Indiana University Kokomo. The campus’ Little Learners Child Care Center is sponsoring the free event, 4–7 p.m. in the Kelley Student Center, Room 130.

Local and state providers of family services will be on hand to discuss coping with child development issues, budgeting, housing, health, nutrition and other topics. Visitors can buy children’s literature at a Scholastic Book Fair, and refreshments will be served.

Center Director Pam Richard said organizations participating in Parents Resource Night will include, but are not limited to:

Big Brothers/Big Sisters
Child Care Solutions (assists in locating child care)

On December 2, Richard said, Little Learners hopes to announce a schedule of monthly parenting workshops that the center will offer at IU Kokomo, starting in 2004.
