Trim the tree to support scholarships
November 14, 2003 | |||||
KOKOMO, Ind.— If you are looking for a special holiday gift for a friend or co-worker, consider the gift that keeps on giving . . . a personalized ornament for the IU Kokomo Holiday Scholarship Tree. The $5 ornaments are available in Indiana University cream and Purdue University gold. Proceeds will support the respective university’s scholarship fund. The tree will be on display through December 19, outside the IU Kokomo Bookstore in the Kelley Student Center.
Ornaments can be personalized with the name of “a co-worker, supervisor, family member, fellow student or alumnus, sorority sister, faculty member, the Chancellor, or a dean,” said Director of Donor Relations Cheryl Currens. “If you are making this donation in lieu of a gift, the Office of External Affairs will send the person you’re honoring a special holiday greeting telling them of your contribution.” Contributions can be made by cash or check; make checks payable to the IU Foundation. Ornament order forms are available at the following campus offices:
Main Building
Kelley Student Center
East Building
Early Outreach Building
Hunt Hall For additional information, call (765) 455-9485 or (765) 455-9272.
