IUK Singers present winter concert December 10

KOKOMO, Ind.—The IUK Singers will present a free concert of winter and holiday music Friday, December 10, at 7 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium on the Indiana University Kokomo campus. Setting the seasonal mood, the Singers will perform such songs as “Candleglow,” “Christmas Is,” and “Snow, Snow, Beautiful Snow.” Youngsters and special concert guest Santa Claus are sure to enjoy the Singers’ musical rendition of “The Night Before Christmas.” Other program highlights will include Mark Lowry’s “Mary, Did You Know?” and “He, Watching Over Israel” from Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah oratorio. The campus community can catch a special concert preview on Wednesday, December 1. On that day, the IUK Singers will stage a dress rehearsal, starting at noon in Alumni Hall. “Bring your lunch and enjoy punch and cookies and holiday music,” said musical director Cindy Ison. “The program will last about 40 minutes and will highlight selections we will be presenting at our winter concert on December 10.” For more information, contact Ison at lison@iuk.edu.
