  IU Kokomo selects 2002-03 Student Ambassadors

KOKOMO, Ind.—IU Kokomo has named seven new Student Ambassadors for the 2003–2004 academic year. Coordinated by the Office of Student Activities and the Office of Alumni Relations, a corps of 22 Student Ambassadors will serve as volunteer hosts for key university events on and off campus.

New Ambassadors (listed by hometown and major) are:
Carmel: Tressia Puller, nursing
Galveston: Marley Griffin, biology; Melissa Guzman, elementary education
Kokomo: Heather Cloum, University Division; Dianna DeGrow, humanities; Dara Johnson, business; Shane Mitchell, finance
Peru: Seth Wall, psychology
Tipton: Gary (J.R.) Rogers, sociology

Fifteen Ambassadors who served in 2002–2003 corps were selected to participate again this year. They are:
Bunker Hill: April Weaver, nursing
Kokomo: Donald Andrews, nursing; Kyle Etherington, secondary education; Erica Markiewicz, marketing and management; Leah Sand, English; Niki Shepherd, computer information systems; Mary Beth Williams, political science/history
Peru: Lacy Behny, University Division
Royal Center: Christina Sommer, psychology
Sharpsville: Tracey Edwards, biology; Bradley Mitchell, communication arts
Tipton: Ann Cain, elementary education
Walton: Joyce Ingle, accounting

Ambassadors assist at such annual events as the Scholarship Gala, Halloween Open House, VIP Days, Economic Outlook Breakfast, Enhancing Minority Attainment Conference, Honors Day, Old Ben 5K Run, Cosmic Bowling, and Commencement.
