Yoga I Improve your flexibility, balance and strength with yoga. Poses will be taught in detail and will flow together, increasing body awareness and toning all muscles. Each class ends with a relaxation period. Students should bring a towel and exercise mat to each class and dress comfortably. It is recommended that students not consume food 1–2 hours before class. Mondays and Wednesdays, November 3–19, 6–7 p.m. Fee: $72 Excel® Intermediate Work with multiple worksheets and workbooks. Learn to customize Excel®’s toolbars and menus. Use the advanced charting and formatting features. Book required. Mondays and Wednesdays, November 3–12, 9:30–11:30 a.m. OR Tuesdays, November 4–11, 5:30–9:30 p.m. Fee: $109 Advanced Photoshop® Harness the power of Adobe Photoshop® and its sister program Adobe ImageReady®to create appealing Web site layouts. Develop and compile libraries of your own customized textures and patterns. Tuesdays and Thursdays, November 4–13, 6–8 p.m. Fee: $159 Studio Lighting Students will learn about natural portrait lighting techniques, how to measure and modify light by using reflectors and diffusers and how to mix flash and available light. Wednesdays, November 5–December 3, 7–9 p.m. (No class on November 26) Fee: $99 QuickBooks® for Business I This accelerated one-day course, covers QuickBooks® basic accounting features, as well as small business accounting principles. Creating a mock company, students will practice entering sales, setting up accounts receivable, recording purchases, paying bills and managing inventory. Prerequisite: Prior business experience along with basic computer knowledge. Friday, November 7, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Fee: $189 QuickBooks® for Business II Teaches analyzing financial performance using QuickBooks® reports. Students will learn to compute payroll and sales taxes and use estimating and time-tracking program features. Prerequisite: QuickBooks® for Business I or PC-based business accounting package experience. Friday, November 14, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Fee: $189 Pattern Making This hands-on course covers measuring the silhouette and making patterns for a shirt, skirt, pants and a basic dress. Mondays, November 17–December 15, 6–8 p.m. Fee: $89 Excel® Advanced Continue to build on basic and intermediate Excel® skills. Topics covered include lookup tables, data tables, pivot tables, advanced list management, and exporting/importing from external files. Learn about macros, as well as goal-seeking and solver tools to make predictive decisions on existing and historical data. Book required. Mondays and Wednesdays, November 17–December 1, 9:30–11:30 a.m. (No class on November 26) OR Tuesdays, November 18 and December 2, 5:30–9:30 p.m. Fee: $109 Holiday Floral Design Use a combination of silk and dried flowers with live greenery to create beautiful holiday centerpieces, festive wreaths and more—great gift ideas for that hard-to-buy-for person on your list. Tuesdays, November 25–December 16, 6–8 p.m. Course fee: $99; supply fee: $75.
