Free S.A.T. workshop offered by Twenty-first Century Scholars

KOKOMO, Ind.—A free two-part workshop for high school students preparing for the S.A.T. will be offered October 18 and 25 in Kokomo. The workshop is sponsored by the IU Kokomo office of Twenty-first Century Scholars and Pathways to College. On October 18, participants will take a practice S.A.T., letting them experience the format and types of questions used in the actual test. That session runs from 9 a.m.–noon at the Carver Community Center, 1030 N. Purdum St. On October 25, workshop participants will look at the results of their practice test and see which areas of testing they need to improve. They will take part in computer-assisted instruction aimed at improving S.A.T. scores. The October 25 workshop will be held from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. at Kokomo Area Career Center Computer Lab, 2415 S.
