‘Shrek 2’ adds to Halloween Open House fun on October 29

KOKOMO, Ind.—Enjoy the further adventures of everyone’s favorite ogre when “Shrek 2” is shown during the 14th annual Halloween Open House Friday, October 29, at Indiana University Kokomo. The PG-rated film will be shown at 5:30 and 7:15 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium.
Campus and student organizations will offer indoor trick or treating, games and seasonal readings from 6–8 p.m. throughout the Kelley Student Center. Admission is $1 each for children ages 10 and under, which includes admission to the film on a first-come, first-served basis. Youngsters must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. “The open house is a wonderful way for children to enjoy the holiday in a safe environment, free from inclement weather,” said Sarah Hawkins, director of student development and campus life. “The IU Kokomo Student Union Board does a great job of coordinating the open house, as demonstrated by the several hundreds of happy children and their parents who come to the event year after year.” For additional information on the Halloween Open House, contact the Office of Student Activities at (765) 455-9203 or activities@iuk.edu.
