Economic Outlook Breakfast set November 8

KOKOMO, Ind.—Will the economy be up, down, or holding steady in 2007? Experts from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business will share their thoughts on national, state and local economics trends Wednesday, November 8, at Indiana University Kokomo.

Open to the public, the campus’ 27th annual Business Outlook and Public Policy Panel Discussion and Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. in the Kelley Student Center. IU Kokomo Professor of Economics Kathy Parkison, Ph.D., will discuss the north central Indiana economic outlook.

Kelley School panelists will travel to 10 Indiana sites in November. Primary presenters include Jerry Conover, director of the Indiana Business Research Center; Robert Neal, associate professor of finance; Philip T. Powell, clinical associate professor of business economics and public policy, and chair of the Evening M.B.A. Program; and Willard Witte, associate professor of economics and director of the Center for Econometric Model Research.

Other IU faculty involved with the tour include John Boquist, the Edward E. Edwards professor of finance; Andreas Hauskrecht, clinical assistant professor of business economics and public policy; Morton Marcus, director emeritus of IBRC; William Sartoris, professor of finance and director of the Investment Banking Academy; and James Smith, IU senior lecturer in finance.

IU’s Kelley School of Business, the IU Alumni Association, IU campuses, and various community organizations sponsor this year’s tour.

Persons without campus parking passes should follow the signs for special event parking for the breakfast.
