Free mental health screenings offered to community
October 1, 2009
Kokomo, Ind. Indiana University Kokomo and Howard Regional Health Systems (HRHS) are teaming up to bring awareness to and offer resources for mental health issues. This free, community-wide event will take place on Thursday, October 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the IU Kokomo campus in the Main Building, room 207.
The mental health screening will be conducted by behavioral clinicians from HRHS, free of charge. Following the screenings, a panel comprised of persons and their family members who have been affected by mental health will discuss In Our Own Voices. This will begin at 6 p.m. in Havens Auditorium and is also free to the public.
