Free mental health screenings offered to community

Kokomo, Ind. – Indiana University Kokomo and Howard Regional Health Systems (HRHS) are teaming up to bring awareness to and offer resources for mental health issues. This free, community-wide event will take place on Thursday, October 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the IU Kokomo campus in the Main Building, room 207.

The mental health screening will be conducted by behavioral clinicians from HRHS, free of charge. Following the screenings, a panel comprised of persons and their family members who have been affected by mental health will discuss “In Our Own Voices.” This will begin at 6 p.m. in Havens Auditorium and is also free to the public.
