Adult students invited to IU Kokomo’s CiderFest open house

KOKOMO, Ind.—Prospective adult students can learn about undergraduate and graduate programs at Indiana University Kokomo during the CiderFest open house, Saturday, October 11. Running from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. in Kelley Student Center’s Alumni Hall, CiderFest will feature tours of the campus and free apple cider and cookies. Families are welcome. Admissions counselors will answer questions at noon and again at 2 p.m in Room 221 of the Kelley Student Center. This is also the site of a presentation on financial aid availability, offered at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. IU Kokomo’s Bookstore and Art Gallery will be open during CiderFest. Parking and admission are free. This is the first time that graduate programs will be addressed in an adult student open house, said coordinator Lori Collins of the Division of Continuing Studies. IU Kokomo offers master’s degrees in • Business administration • Elementary and secondary education • Liberal studies • Nursing Courses taken in the campus’ Graduate Certificate in Public Management program can be credited to a Master of Public Affairs degree at other IU campuses. Additional post-baccalaureate certificate programs at IU Kokomo cover accounting, information systems and nursing management. Students can also learn more about IU Kokomo’s newly revised ACCELerated Evening College, which offers classes 50 percent online and 50 percent in a weekly class, over an eight-week period.
