Computers and Law Office Applications: Paralegal Studies Certificate Program Learn to control page setup and layout, use styles and tables, and create legal templates and forms. Prerequisite: Microsoft Word®. Wednesdays, October 1–November 5, 6–8 p.m. Fee: $165
Employee/Labor Relations: Human Resources Certificate Program An examination of employee contractual rights, workplace codes of conduct and discipline procedures. Explore the development and negotiating of labor contracts and the processing of grievances. Wednesdays, October 1–November 19, 6–8 p.m. Fee: $189
Songwriting Workshop Focused on music for guitars, this class offers concepts that carry over into songwriter for any instrument and in any musical style. Students may bring an instrument to this interactive workshop, although an instrument is not required. Saturdays, October 4–25, noon–2 p.m. Fee: $75
Basic Drawing and Sketching: Fashion Design Certificate Program Learn the basic skills needed to draw, choose equipment, learn to measure and understand basic perspective, analyzing and determining values, human proportions and more. Mondays, October 6–November 10, 6–8 p.m. Fee: $99
The Power of Luck: Psychology of Business Certificate Program A few “unlucky” employees often cause a high percentage of an organization’s worker compensation claims, safety issues and productivity problems. Learn to spot “bad luck” before you make a hiring offer, and to coach “fortunate” skills in current employees. Tuesday, October 7, 6–9 p.m. Fee: $85
Cake Decorating I Beautifully decorated homemade cakes make a party special. This course will show you the steps to create custom-designed cakes. Supply list furnished upon registration. Tuesdays, October 7–28, 6–8 p.m. Fee: $89
Herbs and Nutrition To feel better and promote good health, return to the benefits of herbal and nutritional supplements. Learn the latest research and how to identify the highest quality ingredients. Discover how to use them to address a variety of health issues, such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, cardiovascular and children’s health, attention deficit disorder, and anti-aging. Thursday, October 9–23, 6–8 p.m. Fee: $69
Evening at the Observatory View the stars and planets and look for meteors and comets through the telescope in IU Kokomo's own observatory. Includes a lecture on the solar system and a chart of constellations in the northern hemisphere. Families are encouraged to attend together. All ages are welcome. ($45 registration fee is for a family of up to four. An adult must accompany any minors.) Saturday, October 11, 7–9 p.m. Fee: $45

Power Use of Excel® for Beginners: Microsoft Office® Basics Certificate Program Learning Microsoft Excel® is easy with this slow-paced, hands-on course. Create spreadsheets and charts using Excel® styles and learning functions. Create charts that allow you to prepare visual presentations to use in PowerPoint® or other Microsoft Office® products. Book required. Mondays and Wednesdays, October 20 and 29, 9:30–11:30 a.m. OR Tuesdays, October 21 and 28, 5:30–9:30 p.m. Fee: $109
Network+ Certification Prepare for the CompTIA Network+ exam with this class. Exam topics include knowledge of networking technologies, layers, TCP/IP, knowledge of networking practices, installing, and supporting and troubleshooting networks. Book required.
