KOKOMO, Ind.—The deadline for applications for spring 2006 enrollment for the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (M.L.S.) program at Indiana University Kokomo is October 15. Call (765) 455-9381 or visit www.iuk.edu/arts_sciences and click on Master's Program for a copy of the application.
The M.L.S. Program provides students with the opportunity to create an individualized program of graduate courses to meet their personal and professional needs. M.L.S. students complete 30 credit hours of course work, including 9 hours of interdisciplinary seminars and elective courses in the humanities; social and behavioral sciences; and natural, information and mathematical sciences.
Of particular interest this spring, the program will offer three elective courses to complement a weeklong visit to campus in March by the British acting troupe, Actors From the London Stage. Those courses will include Elizabethan and 17th Century Drama, Conversations with Shakespeare, and Tudor and Jacobean England.
Other M.L.S. electives for spring will be Studies in British and American Authors, American Literature Since 1914, Criminology, Race and Ethnic Relation, and Psychology of Gender and Ethnicity.
