IU Kokomo Welcomes Congress to Campus

Kokomo, Indiana—September 12, 2007—Former congressional representatives George Wortley, Republican, and Harold L. Volkmer, Democrat, will be featured at this year’s Congress to Campus, September 24 and 25. While on campus they will be visiting classrooms, meeting with student groups, and talking with the media. There will be a public lecture in Kresge Auditorium at 7:00 p.m., September 24. Classroom meetings and lecture are open to the public.
Each classroom meeting and student group has a topic that the former congressmen will speak on for 20-30 minutes, and then time will be given for discussion. For information regarding the schedule of classroom visits and topics contact Student Activities at (765) 455-9203.
Indiana University Kokomo serves an 11 county area in north central Indiana. The campus offers more than 40 academic programs including four master’s degrees.
