Student Ambassadors

Official hosts for key university events

Student Ambassadors are a group of selected IU Kokomo students that volunteer to serve as official hosts for key university events on and off campus.  The Office of Student Activities and Office of Alumni Relations coordinate this group.  Interested students should contact Sarah Hawkins in the Office of Student Activities.  The Student Coordinator acts as a liaison between event planners and Ambassadors. 

Student Ambassadors are selected, through an application process.  This process begins after an application is completed (usually early in the fall semester).  A recommendation from a faculty member must accompany the application.  After an interview, the selected student completes a special training workshop containing information on campus history, degree programs, services, special events, tours and general etiquette.

 

Student Ambassadors serve in promoting the university to prospective students and
members of the community with first-hand student experience.
