Organizations and Clubs

Get involved in Indiana University Kokomo’s student clubs and organizations. There are many opportunities for involvement that will suit your personal interests. Plus, these activities are a great way to meet friends and build a fantastic resume with leadership experience.

Abriendo Puertas

This club is a chapter of Ambassadors for Children (AFC). AFC works to make an impact on the lives of less fortunate children around the world and provide hands-on interaction with children in need. The group will also provide short-term service trips and long-term sustainable programs for children in South America.

Accounting Council

Open to business and non-business majors, the Accounting Council is a great opportunity to network with other students who enjoy accounting. Contact mkintzel@iuk.edu for more information.

Alpha Phi Sigma/Criminal Justice Association

These clubs are for students majoring in or interested in criminal justice. Club members promote awareness of and interest in relevant issues and provide aid to the surrounding community. Contact thalbroo@iuk.edu for more information.

Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are a group of IU Kokomo students who are selected to serve as volunteer official hosts for key university events on and off campus. Contact activities@ iuk.edu for more information.

Medical Imaging Club

Multicultural Student Organization (MSO)

This organization brings together all university diversity-based programs, supports foreign and international educational programs and promotes unity and understanding among cultures. MSO seeks to celebrate the diversity in all cultures of the world while promoting educational understanding which will enable our students to succeed in a cross-cultural global society. NIMS Pre-Professional Club

This organization gives students a chance to expose themselves to different aspects of math, science, and informatics via lectures, discussions, field trips, social gatherings, and any other necessary activities.  It also helps build resumes and gain knowledge of graduate programs.  Contact

Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF)

In response to God's love, grace and truth, the purpose of NCF is to establish and advance in nursing, and within education and practice, witnessing communities of nursing students who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord. Purdue Student Organization

The purpose of the Purdue Club is to provide the campus community an opportunity to connect and network with Purdue students. It also acts as a welcoming agent for new Purdue students and helps them acclimate to campus. Contact traper@purdue.edu for more information.

School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) Graduate Students Association

The purpose of this club is to spread the interest in and awareness of the Public Management graduate program at IU Kokomo. Membership is open to all graduate students in the SPEA program.

Student Alumni Association

This club promotes the interests of IU Kokomo students, past and present. Through partnership with the Indiana University Alumni Association, this group participates in a number of service and community projects. Student Athletic Board

Student Athletic Board (SAB) is group that works to promote recreational and intramural athletic events on and off campus for students.  All competition is at a local level.  SAB also promotes overall physical well-being among the student body. SAB sponsors various programs, including men's basketball, co-ed softball, co-ed soccer, and co-ed volleyball.  In addition, at the end of each semester, SAB sponsors the free Cosmic Bowling event at Kokomo's Cedar Crest Lanes.  Contact rcbouche@iuk.edu for more information.

Student Union Board

This fun-loving group plans and supervises most of the social and entertainment events on campus.  Student Union Board's (SUB) purpose is to provide social, cultural, and educational enhancement for IU Kokomo, its student body, and the surrounding community by increasing student involvement in campus activities and representing IU Kokomo in dealings with other organizations responsible for campus programming. The Studio

The Studio's purpose is to form a multi-media art networking organization to expand the artistic culture of our campus and community, including new media communications. Contact jlrawls@iuk.edu for more information.

Student Newspaper - The Correspondent

The Correspondent is the “Student Voice of IU Kokomo and the Purdue University College of Technology at Kokomo.” The newspaper staff strives to inform the campus of current news, issues, and activities. Opportunities exist for those interested in writing, editing, photography, and advertising. Students may get involved for credit or simply for the experience. IUK Singers

The IUK Singers give students as well as community members a chance to sing and perform. IU Kokomo students can participate for credit or simply join for fun. Auditions are not required and all are welcome to participate. IUK Singers cover a wide spectrum of musical styles. Contact jofletch@iuk.edu for more information.

IU Kokomo Crescendos

A break-out ensemble from the IUK Singers, the IU Kokomo Crescendos has been established as a show choir to meet the needs of the students who wish to participate in performing contemporary music that includes stage movement. Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)
