Technology Resources: Printing Services

VendPrint Accounts

As a student at IU Kokomo, few IT services will be more important to you than printing. Your homework, projects, term papers, and class notes will require you to make use of the printing services during the course of a semester. Funded by a portion of your Student Technology Fee, the first time you print each academic session, an account balance is automatically set for you in the VendPrint metering system. Currently, the account’s value begins at $26.00.

Each time a student submits a print job, the VendPrint account balance is reduced by the price of the print job. Currently, black and white printouts cost 4 cents per page; color pages cost 50 cents per page. The student quota of $26.00 is good for about 650 black and white pages. To check the balance of your VendPrint account, contact the Computer Services Helpdesk.

Printing Copy Cards

Students who deplete their allotment of $26.00 and require the ability to print more pages can do so by purchasing a copy card. These cards are available from the Card Value machines, located in the Library copy room and the open lab in SM102. These self service machines are supported by the IT staff via the Computer Services Helpdesk.

Where Can You Print?

You can print to any of the student printers on campus using your VendPrint account or a purchased copy card. Currently there are 5 printers in the Library\Information Commons and one printer in each of the following areas:
