Wireless Networking at IU Kokomo

Locations

Wireless networking (WiFi) is available to you at IU Kokomo in most public gathering areas. Students with laptops can gain access to all of the network resources available on the lab and classsroom computers including Library databases and the Internet. The Kelley Student Center and the Library are two of the most popular areas for students to connect to the wireless network. Other areas include the front classroom hallway of the main building and the Hunt hall Lobby area. Plans are being made to expand coverage on campus.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)

The wireless network access points at IU Kokomo are configured for open access, but this doesn’t mean that anyone can use the network. Instead, once you have connected to the access point, you’ll need to connect to the IU Kokomo Virtual Private Network using your network ID and password. Instructions for setting up this connection can be found at the IU Knowledge Base. Choose the article that pertains to the Operating System of your computer.
