How Current Students Feel About the Cohort Program

“The MPM Cohort program is a challenging program, but it is also rewarding.  It fits into my busy schedule. I am a mom, wife and a Director of a program in a nonprofit agency.  The knowledge that I have gained in the classes has helped me recognize areas of improvement with my work performance. The MPM cohort classes has taught me how to make several changes in the program that I manage in order to be more transparent, seamless, consistent and efficient. I have met wonderful people in my class that encourage me in reaching my goal of completing my Master’s Degree. The Professors of this program are also there for you when you have questions or concerns. They are motivating Professors that not only are vested in you as a student, but also to make the communities we live in better places.  I strongly recommend the MPM cohort program to anyone that is ready for a challenge, and wants to gain knowledge in public management. “
Tracy R. Martino, MPM 2009

“The Master’s of Public Management (MPM) degree and the format in which it is presented has absolutely fit my schedule and lifestyle like a glove.  As a working professional it was important to me that both the educational content and the format in which it was presented could accommodate my busy weekday schedule.  This program is the epitome of fit and function. “

“It was a very difficult decision for me to return to graduate school, but the IU Kokomo’s SPEA MPM Cohort program was perfect for me.  Don’t get me wrong it takes a dedication and desire to complete your degree in a very condensed timeframe.  I doubted that I could complete it and keep up with my everyday life and work schedule, but as anything in life it is what you put into it that you get out of it.  I am delighted that I enrolled in the MPM degree program. The MPM cohort program will enable me to graduate with new friends.”
“Skip” Kuker, MPM 2009

“The Master's in Public Management Cohort Program is a college program which is convenient for persons who work full time during the week. The Friday night and Saturday half -day classes fit well into my schedule, and do not interfere with other evening activities during the work week. I should be able to complete my degree in a little over a year. The curriculum is interesting and challenging, and I feel the program is preparing me to improve my skills and knowledge, and to continue my career in public management.”
Christopher Smith, MPM 2009.
