Getting Help with Site Development
Indiana University Kokomo does not, at this time, have
a fully-staffed Web team that can work on developing all official
IU Kokomo sites. Individual departments are therefore responsible
for developing their own sites using the IU Kokomo site standards and
templates, in consultation with the Web Manager and the Office of
Communications and Marketing.
If you need help building your IU Kokomo Web site,
one of the following fits your situation:
- You have a sufficient budget to develop your site and a timeline
for site completion;
- You have a small budget to develop your site and a timeline
for site completion;
- You have someone on staff (either faculty, staff, or student)
who is, or will be, responsible for developing your site;
- You do not have a budget or a staff/faculty/student Web
developer available.
For those in categories 1 and 2,
we recommend that you consult with the Web Manager and the Office
of Communications and Marketing
about the scope of your site, then plan to work with your
department Web Manager or student to develop and maintain your site.
If you are in category 3,
refer your Web Manager to the
Web Manager and the Office of Communications and Marketing for consultation
and information. Your Web Manager may want to use this
checklist to get started.
If you are in category 4,
you may contact the
Web Manager and the Office of Communications and Marketing for suggestions
for a student to help with your project. You may need to be creative about assigning
someone in your area to complete a project that is small in scope,
or in collaborating with a qualified person at the university who
would be willing to help develop your site.
You may also wish to participate in the
CTLA training
courses for the Web.
