Student Organization Web Sites
Indiana University Kokomo provides server
space, but does not provide Web development services, to
registered
student organizations on campus. Student organizations wishing to
have Web sites must familiarize themselves with the regulations
(below) and must designate their own Web Manager to set up their own
Web sites.
Setting up your student organization Web site
Registered student organizations may create
Web sites and install them on the IU server. The Office of
Student Activities must verify that the student organization is
active and officially registered by the University before server
space will be provided. STUDENTS:
Please make sure your organization is on the current list, and your current organization president is listed, BEFORE submitting your application for Web space.
Go to the Office of Student Activates, located in the Kelley Student Center, Room
210, to make sure you are on
the list. If your organization is not on the list (including your
current president's name), your application will be
denied.
To obtain Web space for your
registered student organization, make sure that your organization
and current president are on the list of registered student organizations.
Then, submit a signed
IU Kokomo Web Site
Hosting and Access Agreement, Student Organization version (pdf) to the
Helpdesk (located in the Information Commons [Library]). The Access Agreement must
be signed by the student organization's current president/representative
AND the student organization's Web Manager. If there is to
be more than one Web Manager, each individual Web Manager must complete
a separate Access Agreement. Please read the Hosting and Access
Agreement carefully before submitting it, so you will be
able to follow the regulations and procedures on the form. If any of the
regulations are unclear, please ask for clarification before signing the form.
