General Rules on Information Content
In general, university policies and regulations that apply to the
content of publications and communications apply to contents of
Web pages published using IU's Web servers.
In particular, all information on IU Kokomo official
pages must:
comply with all laws governing copyrights, intellectual
property, libel and privacy,
not violate any
policy, rule or regulation of the University,
not be used for non-IU commercial activities,
comply with Americans with Disabilities Act standards or
provide text-only alternate versions.
Official Campus Web Pages
A campus Web page is considered official when it is published
by (and representative of) the campus itself, or a
school, department, division, or an official administrative unit of the
campus.
(See the Official Web Pages section of this
site for further details.)
Web pages are considered university
publications. The Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) and
the Web Manager are
responsible for developing style, standards and review procedures
for official campus Web pages. The Web Manager
will develop and maintain the official IU Kokomo home page.
Administrative and academic units are responsible
for developing their own sites using the graphics, style guidelines
and/or templates as supplied by Office of Communications and
Marketing. Site developers
must follow the procedures published in the IU Kokomo Web Standards Guide.
Web sites developed by any campus administrative or academic
unit that do not use provided templates must be pre-approved by the
Web Manager and Office of Communications and Marketing.
It is the responsibility of the designated
representatives in academic and administrative units to ensure that
all information in their electronic (Web) publications is accurate,
current and adheres to campus policies.

and students
Faculty and staff may create Web pages for use in their
