The dietitian is available for out-patient concerns such as special diets, food allergies or intolerances, condition specific care (diabetes type 2, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disease, anemia, gout, etc.), weight management, supplements, sports nutrition, and integrative dietetics.
The role of the athletic trainer is to implement prevention of injury programs, provide immediate care and treatment, and follow rehabilitation procedures for the injured client as directed by the client's preferred physician.
All professional Sports Medicine staff members are national ATC (athletic training certified), LAT (licensed athletic trainer in the state of Indiana), professional healthcare provider certified by the American Heart Association, which includes CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation), AED (automated external defibrillation), and oxygen administration and airway management competencies. All Sports Medicine Staff yearly review updated information regarding OSHA requirements of Blood Pathogens and Other Potentially Infectious Material.
