The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), established by the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES), a division of the U.S. Department of Education, is a system of surveys designed to collect data from all primary providers of postsecondary education. IPEDS data for the IU system is managed by University Institutional Research and Reporting, and can be accessed using the link below.
Produced by University Institutional Research and Reporting, IPEDS reports contain federally-required compliance data relating to admissions, degree completion, fall enrollment, 12-month enrollment, finances, graduation rates, human resources, institutional characteristics, student financial aid, academic libraries, and outcome measures.
The Common Data Set (CDS) was developed as a collaborative effort among college and university data providers and publishers as represented by the College Board, Peterson's, and U.S. News and World Report. The CDS is updated annually by University Institutional Research and Reporting in collaboration with all IU campuses.
This report includes information on enrollment and persistence, first-time and transfer admissions, academic offerings and policies, student life, annual expenses, financial aid, instructional faculty and class size, as well as degrees conferred.
