- An exit survey of students, offered three times but would like to see more student participation in the future
- Recruitment efforts with other Police departments

Jake Medlen, Office for University Advancement

Christina Downey, Academic Affairs
- Redesigned New Student Orientation, First Year Seminar
and Key Summer Institute - New Student Orientation the goal was to reach 90% positive and they have received
95% and 93% on food
- Progress holds was implemented for first-year students
- Online degree maps are mostly completed
- Individual advising is helping to develop a one on one relationship
- 8% complete
- Retention is up for those that participate in individual advising
Craig Swoverland, UITS
- Seven spaces revaluated in the east building
- Full campus wifi upgrade
- IT training support: 2, 198 assisted
- Website review
- Upgrade campus to 10 Gb
- For outreach, Craig is serving on the Howard Co. Innovation Council
- Participated in three different info shares, facilitated nine events
Minda Douglas, NMAT
- New core foundation curriculum access in the fall
- Started “Open House Portfolio Day” and will continue to have one every semester.
- Worked with Media and Marketing to create promotional video and materials
- Participated in school visits
- The Design Center will continue their work with non-profits but will also include businesses
- Internships in art galleries
- New critique space was created with the assistance of the Physical Plant department
Cathy Valcke, Office of External Relations and Public Affairs
- Formed center for engagement, faculty, and staff organized the look
- Brochure in the works
- Carnegie designation
- Fostering K-12 relationships and bringing more children to campus
- This year children from Clinton County will be joining Howard County Promise on September 28
Mary Bourke and Susan Hendricks, School of Nursing
- Nurse Practitioner’s guidelines curriculum framework
- Retention nursing event had 167 people in attendance
- The large growth in the nursing area with the recruitment efforts
- Family Nurse Practitioner program is generating excitement
- Accreditation will be happening for them this fall
- Many of the goals in their strategic plan have been met. They will be working with Mark Canada to add a couple of more goals to run them through the end of this Strategic Planning cycle.
