Seanna Redman is still speaking: We really just build relationships and learn networking in Enactus and you get more confidence in the business world, so when we go to job fairs here in Chicago, or St. Louis, or possibly Kansas City in the future, it really just gives you more confidence.

And just to see you know capture their experiences and see where I can leverage, or learn from, in any way shape or form. I'm always looking to improve. Any conversation you have with anyone you can, you know, learn something. You can use it.

Allison Hopkins is shown sitting and being interviewed: You make your college experience how you want to make it. As soon as I started I got my foot in the door and I started being a club member at Enactus and then those connections I made through Enactus, and with my faculty and other classes, led to an amazing international trip overseas to England that has just snowballed, and there's just more opportunities and doors that just keep opening throughout my experience.

Mahuuso Tossou is shown sitting for an interview: The most important thing that this experience taught me is to take into consideration people from different origins. It's a big melting pot right now and to get a good job you have to kind of dive into expanding your knowledge about culture.

Before June, Shelby Beltz had never been outside the United States. After spending 10 days in Poland, she’s now considering living outside the country. “I enjoyed the laid-back lifestyle, the work-life balance, and the culture,” she said, adding that she’s already identified the small town where she wants to live, based on the nearby scenery. “I can’t live near castle ruins in the U.S.,” she said.

Business faculty member represents IU Kokomo as Bicentennial Professor

Adam Smith represents IU Kokomo as Bicentennial Professor

Adam Smith will be among 25 Indiana University faculty serving as Bicentennial Professors, celebrating the university’s 200th anniversary.

Smith, IU Kokomo associate professor of business, will travel around the state to deliver presentations about his research and professional activities in business and education.

Senior from Haiti finds dreams do come true

Mike Francois

To a teenager growing up in Haiti, the idea of an American college education seems like an impossible goal. But if you tell Mike Francois something is unattainable, it makes him want it more — and work to make it happen. In May, Francois, 21, will achieve the impossible, graduating from Indiana University Kokomo with a degree in finance. He’s already set his next goal and plans to earn a Master of Science in Accounting.
