Scholarships in the School of Education

The School of Education at Indiana University Kokomo awards scholarships to qualified and outstanding students. Qualifications vary for each scholarship. Those with additional questions can contact their academic advisor for assistance.

Alpha Delta Kappa Tau Scholarship

TEP students in their student teaching semester who demonstrate academic achievement and financial need. Minimum cumulate GPA of 3.0 and Howard County resident. Award: $500

Virgil L. Hunt Scholarship

SOE students with a record of academic excellence, with preference given to graduate students. Award: $1,000

Kay Plew Memorial Student Teaching Scholarship

TEP students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 who are seniors and student teaching. Award: $500

Richard L. & Zita Wist Hauswald Scholarship

TEP students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00, who plan to teach at the elementary level. Award: $500

Robert & Jenny Trotter Henry Scholarship

TEP students during the student teaching semester, with preference given to those preparing to teach secondary-level mathematics. Award: $500

Elementary Education Fund

TEP students during the student teaching semester who are in good standing and majoring in elementary education. Award: $500

Pi Lambda Theta (Pat Wood Student Teaching) Scholarship

Covers the cost of the student teaching fee for undergraduate or graduate TEP students. Award: $500

Zula Mae King Memorial Scholarship

Undergraduate TEP students with financial need and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50. Award: $500
