Planning your event with Rozzi's Catering
Rozzi's Catering is proud to serve Indiana University Kokomo. We offer exceptional food and service from a variety of menus. You also can customize a menu for your event needs. IU Kokomo's Event Coordinator will be happy to work with you to help you plan and design your catering needs.
All requests for catering must go through the Event Services Specialist, whose office is in the Main Building (KO), Room 290B, email eventsch@iu.edu, or call 765-455-9449. The Event Services Specialist will work with Rozzi’s Catering, the campus food service provider, who is under contract exclusively to provide catering on and off campus.
Ordering Timelines
We require a two week minimum to adequately plan your event. Custom menus require additional preparation time. Last minute orders may be accommodated, but we reserve the right to limit choices due to availability of food inventory and or staffing. Orders placed fewer than five business days in advance will be assessed an expedited fee of $55, plus any market price adjustments.
Guarantee Guest Counts
Final guarantee guest counts are due 7 business days prior to event and guest count cannot be lowered. Guest count can be increased but may incur additional fees. In the event that no guaranteed number is submitted 7 business days prior, then the quoted guest count will be recorded as the guaranteed number and not eligible to be lowered.
If more than the guaranteed number are in attendance, Rozzi’s Catering cannot guarantee adequate service. If extra guests are served, host will be charged for the additional meals. Should guest count be under the guaranteed number, host may have leftover foods that caterer deems eligible.
Rozzi’s Food Service and Indiana University Kokomo is released of all responsibility for leftover food. To go containers are available for additional fee.
Food Service Requests
Food Service Requests (FSR) completed by the IUK requesting host are the documents that Rozzi’s work from in order to execute your event successfully. Receipt of a FSR generates an estimate that is returned to host for approval. Please review any estimate carefully, make note of any changes, sign the bottom, and return signed copy to the IUK event coordinator and Rozzi’s. Double check dates, times, locations, menu selection, and any important details.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be called into the Cafe office manager on duty at 765-455-9518 or 765-455-9322 with a corresponding email to robrozzi@iu.edu and the Event Services Specialist eventsch@iu.edu. If your cancellation is a result of an act of nature, you will be charged for incurred expenses.
Any food purchased for the canceled event remains the property of Rozzi’s Catering. It will be at the sole discretion of the Rozzi’s Catering executive chef as to whether any purchased food can be used at a later date.
While reasonable effort will be made to minimize cancellation charges, groups will be held responsible for all expenses incurred by caterer.

- 49 Hours + hours, Payment for Cost of Goods for any Special Orders
The caterer can use its discretion to make any adjustments.
Fees
- $55 Delivery, campus outside Café hours Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- $55 Pick up, campus outside Café hours Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Rush Fee $55, plus any market price adjustments. Rush is considered any food request submitted four days or less of event day.
- Server/Wait Staff, minimum 3-4 hours based on event - $28/hour per server
- Cleaning Labor, minimum 2 hours required for China service - $28/hour per dishwasher
- Off-site or non-university full-service events – 20% catering fee, 25% Sunday catering fee
- Saturday $500 food minimum. Sunday $1000 food minimum. Waived when kitchen is already operating.
Remaining Food from Event
Immediately following the event, event organizers may take any leftover food and drinks that Rozzi’s Catering deems safe. A person taking leftover food assumes all responsibility and risk and holds Rozzi’s Catering harmless. Containers provided by Rozzi’s Catering for leftovers will be charged to the event invoice. Customer will be charged for additional guests served beyond guest count even if food is available.
***For food safety and liability reasons, Rozzi’s Catering is not able to store or reheat any leftover food that you choose to take from events.
Labor
You can choose to have servers/wait staff at your event. Any events with china dinnerware require servers, wait- staff, and other labor at $28/hour and $18/hour respectively. Rozzi’s Catering will work with the event organizer to determine the correct amount of time needed for labor. Typically labor is 3-4 hours per laborer depending on the scope of the event.
Events occurring after 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday (excluding summer sessions), after 2 p.m. on Fridays, weekends, and are less than 25 attendees; will incur labor changes depending on these factors:
- Amount of advance notice
- Time and day of the event
- Size of the event. Charges may be waived for large events.
Off-campus events and non-IU Kokomo
Off-campus events and external events on campus off-campus events will incur a 20% service charge and 25% on Sunday. This charge covers additional costs such as transportation, additional time, and equipment.
Non-IU Kokomo and external events held on campus will incur a 20 percent service charge for full-service catering.
