Chemistry opens the door to a variety of careers. If you go on to become a chemist – perhaps the most obvious career path – the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a 7 percent job growth through 2026 and an average annual salary of $76,280.  

It’s important to remember that employers are looking for more than just a solid GPA and your chemistry degree in hand. They want to see that you have tangible experience as well! You can pack your resume full of exciting things that will pop out to your future employer through involvement in extracurricular activities, research projects with faculty, and part-time work experience.
