Student Orientation Leaders

Join the IU Kokomo OTEAM!

Indiana University Kokomo’s OTEAM is a group of undergraduate students who lead onboarding programs from April to August. These programs can include Enrollment Events as well as New Student Orientation (NSO).

Orientation leaders (OLs) are among the first to welcome new students and their family and friends to campus. Members of the OTEAM must successfully complete extensive training to be prepared to serve as frontline representatives of IU Kokomo. Among their responsibilities, an OTEAM leader works to build a student’s sense of belonging on campus. This includes feelings of pride in IU Kokomo, self-confidence, an understanding of services available to students, and excitement for their decision to choose IUK.

A students’ transition to college sets the course for their IUK journey. The success of our incoming students defines the success of the IUK OTEAM.
