You can apply for scholarships after you're admitted. The priority deadline for scholarship consideration is November 15. The regular deadline is February 1.

After you are admitted, complete the IU Scholarships application through One.IU. It opens the door to our entire scholarship system and recommends scholarships you may be eligible for.
Applications typically open every fall prior to the academic year for which they’re awarded.
The deadline for the general application is February 15th. Deadlines and required materials for other scholarships vary.

How to prepare
Every scholarship application is different. Be sure to read the guidelines for each one thoroughly. Some things you may be asked to submit to be considered include:
