When you decide to come to Indiana University Kokomo, you know you're getting an IU degree at an affordable rate. But, you still want to be informed about how to pay for your education. As you do your research, you've undoubtedly learned there are different kinds of financial aid. Perhaps the most exciting of these are scholarships, financial aid awards based on various student criteria.
IU Kokomo awards more than 400 scholarships annually to qualified students. In order to be considered for any scholarship, new students must be admitted to IU Kokomo by March 1 and continuing students must be registered for fall classes by May 1. Students are also encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online by April 15.
Recipients of the IU Kokomo The Chancellor's, The Dean's, ASIST, Transfer, Pre-professional, or Direct Admit scholarship cannot receive the scholarship if the amount puts the student over his/her cost of attendance.
International students seeking scholarships can learn more about what is available at the International Student Scholarships page.

In addition, the School of Business, School of Education, and School of Nursing award scholarships to students in those majors. Applicants for these scholarships should contact the schools for additional information and application procedures.
COVID-19 information for S and P grades
What is the impact of S and P grades on IU merit scholarships that have GPA minimums?
S and P grades do not carry GPA value so should not have an impact on merit scholarship renewal. S and P grades do result in earned credit hours, which is considered for merit scholarship renewal. If students are unable to meet merit scholarship renewal standards, an appeal process with wider parameters will be planned.
What is the impact of S and P grades on any external scholarships (outside of IU)?
Students will need to contact any external donor or scholarship provider directly to determine the impact of S and P grades.
