Transition to Teaching – All Grade

The All Grade T2T program allows individuals with content area expertise to be licensed to teach across all grade levels, preschool through high school (P-12), in the state of Indiana.

IU Kokomo offers secondary licenses in the following content areas:

  • Art
  • Computer Science
  • Music
  • Physical Education
  • World Languages

  • 21 credit hours
  • Structured to be completed in four semesters, including summer
  • Mostly online

Graduate tuition per-credit hours can be found at the Office of the Bursar. Additional fees apply for select coursework.

Master’s Degree Pathway

Complete your master’s degree with just four additional courses through our partnership with IU Southeast. You can pursue a Master of Science in Education with a Major in Elementary Education or Secondary Education.

We understand that the cost of a degree can be intimidating, or even could prevent you from considering a degree. IU Kokomo and the Division of Education offer resources for students in need of financial support, including scholarships.

Transition to Teaching Scholarships

The Transition to Teaching Scholarship provides students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a one-time, non-renewable scholarship of up to $10,000. In exchange, students agree to teach for five years at an eligible Indiana school or repay the prorated scholarship amount.

The Future Educator Scholarship is available to incoming and current undergraduate and graduate students. You must be pursuing a degree in education to be eligible for this award.

A total of $10,000 is awarded to aspiring K-12 educators through the annual Teachers Test Prep “Pass the Torch” Teacher Scholarships program – one $5,000 scholarship is given to a recipient planning a career in elementary education, and one $5,000 scholarship is granted to a recipient planning a career in secondary education.
