Indiana University Kokomo librarians provide instruction for classes, student groups, faculty, and staff on how to use library resources and conduct research effectively.
Instruction for classes
Librarians can work with instructors to provide sessions tailored to course assignments and learning goals.
Instruction sessions may include:
An introduction to library resources and services
- Guidance on finding and evaluating scholarly sources
- Demonstrations of relevant databases and research tools
- Hands-on instruction using library resources for course assignments
Instruction sessions are most effective when they are connected to a specific assignment or research project.
Instruction for groups
Librarians can also provide sessions for student organizations, faculty groups, staff, and community visitors.
Sessions may include:
Library tours
• Overviews of library services and resources
• Discussions of research strategies
• Instruction on specific databases or research tools
We also welcome visits from local school groups. To schedule a visit, see Visiting School Groups.
